His younger son was born with severe heart problems, spending much of his early childhood in hospital. In 2023, he launched Paws of Hope, offering natural dog treats and supplements designed to keep pets healthy and happy.
With infectious energy and a hands-on approach, Gurbhag began livestreaming his products on TikTok, connecting directly with pet lovers across the UK. His genuine enthusiasm and transparency quickly won over loyal followers. Orders poured in, and Paws of Hope began to grow.
However, like many small businesses, cashflow challenges soon threatened to slow his progress. A high demand and payment delays created pressure, but with Purple Shoots‘ assistance Gurbhag secured a loan to expand his line of products, including dog food, harnesses, and toys along with his popular natural treats. With financial stability and renewed confidence, he’s been able to take Paws of Hope to the next level.
Gurbhag’s story is more than just a business success. It’s a powerful reminder that resilience, creativity, and belief in yourself can turn even the toughest situations into opportunities.
