Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website duport.co.uk, operated by Duport Associates Ltd.

Our Commitment

Duport Associates Ltd is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, in line with our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

We want everyone, regardless of ability, to be able to use our website effectively. For example, users should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 300% without text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate the website using only a keyboard
  • Navigate using speech recognition software
  • Listen to content using a screen reader (including recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)

Compliance Status

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard.

This website is currently partially compliant, as some content does not yet fully meet accessibility requirements. The known issues are outlined below.

Known Accessibility Limitations

We are aware of the following issues, identified through a combination of automated testing (including WAVE by WebAIM) and manual review, and are working to resolve them.

Errors

  • Missing alternative text: At least one image does not have descriptive alt text, meaning screen reader users may miss important information.
  • Missing form labels: Three form inputs do not have properly associated labels, making forms harder to use with assistive technology.
  • Empty buttons: Two buttons do not have an accessible name or label, so their purpose may not be clear.
  • Empty link: One link does not contain descriptive text, making its destination unclear.

Contrast and Visual Issues

  • Colour contrast: 26 instances of text have insufficient contrast against their background, which may make content difficult to read.
  • Very small text: Some text appears at a small size that may be difficult to read without zooming.

Structural Issues

  • Heading structure: Some content is not marked up with proper heading tags, which can affect navigation for screen reader users.
  • Broken same-page link: One internal anchor link does not point to a valid target.

What We’re Doing About It

We are actively reviewing these issues and prioritising fixes. Errors and contrast issues are being addressed first, as these have the greatest impact on accessibility.
