What is a Business Address?
As a sole trader you are legally required to clearly display your name and address when you deal with customers and suppliers. Your address must appear on all documents such as business letters, orders, payments and invoices. It must also be clearly visible on your website.
Many self-employed/sole traders prefer to use a business address to avoid making their residential address available online or to their customers. An office address is also used instead of a residential address to create a professional perception of your business to the public.
A business address service is an alternative address you can display to your customers on business stationery such as letterheads, business cards and invoices. It’s also an address you can display on your website. All the mail related to your business can be forwarded to your residential address.
The only legal requirements of your business address is that it must be a physical location and be in the country where you operate. If you have an e-commerce website then you must display the correspondence address. You can use our address for privacy only purposes or you can upgrade and we will forward any business mail received at our office.
All business mail received will be opened, scanned and forwarded by email or sent, unopened, via Royal Mail. We will do our best to filter out any mail considered as "junk mail".

Important Notes
Duport provides a Business address service to clients at its discretion. To legally provide this service in accordance with UK money laundering regulations we will conduct an electronic ID check using the information you have provided.Occasionally the electronic ID check does not pass so our team will ask for further information and/or ID evidence.
Personal mail, including letters from banks and HMRC are not included in the service as your residential address should be provided to these organisations. Exceptional mail items, courier deliveries or parcels delivered to our address will be refused and returned to source.
Duport Associates Limited discharges its responsibility when documents are handed over to the public mail service, addressed to the last postal address provided to us.
A renewal invoice is issued each year several weeks prior to the renewal date.
