Recent research from company formation agents, Duport.co.uk has revealed that between January and March, net company growth stood at 213 during for the quarter, compared to 176 in 2013.
The rise in net company growth is due to a 3% rise in company formation, combined with an 18% drop in company closures over the three months.
In further good news for the area, the local council announced a £130 million regeneration plan for the city centre earlier this year, with work due to start early in 2016.
