The beginning of 2013 has seen some positive economic results in Folkestone, with company formation rising and a rise in net company growth.
New research from Duport.co.uk reveals that net company growth in Kingston Upon Thames dipped during the first three months of the year.
The latest Duport Business Confidence Report for Dudley shows there was a decline in company formation in the area last year. However, the report also shows there was a reduction in company closures during the same period, suggesting trading conditions may actually be improving in the town.

Companies House data released in the latest Duport Business Confidence Report for Watford shows a rise in company formations during the first six months of the year, suggesting a re-invigorated economy in the area.
The rise in company formations could be due to the town centre redevelopment that has been taking place in recent years. One component of the redevelopment is now close to completion - the 'Met Quarter' located at the junction of High St and King St, opposite the southern entrance to The Harlequin shopping centre.
The Met Quarter will provide Watford with a choice of seven new restaurants, a coffee shop and 24 contemporary one and two bed apartments.
Further exciting news for the area came earlier this year with the announcement that a new Tom Cruise film will be shot in Leavesden Studios. The film, "All You Need is Kill", will create 500 jobs and boost further investment in the area.
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:
"The regeneration of Watford town centre seems to be drawing new businesses into the area, which can only serve to strengthen the local economy."
"As new businesses grow and develop, so the town centre offering should broaden and diversify."
