Hertford commuter town, Borehamwood has bucked the national trend with a sharp increase in the appointment of older directors during the first six months of the year.

In the UK as whole, numbers of directors over 65 fell, while numbers in Borehamwood jumped by more than 3% when compared to the same period last year.

Where director gender is concerned, Borehamwood mirrored nationwide statistics during the first half of the year. Numbers of female directors fell from 23% to 22%, following a similar pattern to the rest of the UK.
