Search engine giant Google has announced a 12 month campaign to get businesses in Wales to start using the web.
Up to 40% of small companies in Wales do not have a website, and only 33% use ecommerce to boost their business.
Google, in collaboration with the Welsh Government, will be sending a team of specialists to tour Wales, helping SMEs to build a website, or further develop their online presence through ecommerce, social media and internet marketing.
The Google team will be offering free one-to-one advice to small companies, beginning with their "Juice Bar" roadshow and workshops starting in March.
"The internet provides a barrierless platform for businesses to grow, so we are excited about coming to Wales for a year-long series of events to show business owners how easily this can be done," stated Dan Cobley, managing director of Google UK.
“We will be working alongside the Welsh Government and local partners to ensure our time spent with local entrepreneurs will make a real difference to their businesses and, in turn, the Welsh economy in creating jobs through digital means."
