| Small businesses have until 10th September to apply to a free scheme that can minimise water use in the office, helping the environment and reducing business costs.
Rippleffect is a scheme run by government organisation Envirowise, and could save companies an estimated 30% during the six-month initiative, and up to 50% if the company invests in long term projects.
"Envirowise is unusual for government-backed environmental assistance programmes, in that it is long-lived, universally accessible and it actually works," stated Miranda Allan, Environmental Adviser for the Forum of Private Business (FPB).
"It's rare to find an initiative that provides such useful information both on paper and in person, with specific and detailed support available to many industry sectors."
The Rippleffect initiative is free and provides small businesses with a structured plan to reduce water usage, and measures the savings made. For more information, visit www.envirowise.gov.uk/rippleffect
