An information security consulting service has won the title of small business of the year at a Cambridge awards ceremony, it has emerged.
Sawston-based 7Safe offers a variety of IT services, which include security training and certification, penetration testing, digital forensics and risk management.
The awards, which were sponsored by the Cambridge News, set out to recognise businesses of all sizes and types.
Murray Morse, editor of the News, said: "As a newspaper we are proud to be able to report on the tremendous achievements of Cambridge companies.
"They are inspiring, sometimes awesome, and they are the future of the UK economy."
Business of the year was won by luxury confectionary retailer Hotel Chocolat, while Aveva head Richard Longdon nabbed businessman of the year.
Clients of 7Safe include banks, legal firms, financial companies, military groups and law enforcement.
