Some managers at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) do not review their mobile charges because they think the process is confusing, according to new research.
Nearly one third of leaders at SMEs admit that their business has not examined its mobile bills for at least two years, a study sponsored by T-Mobile reveals.
Additionally, a quarter of respondents say that they do not understand the technology involved in mobile phones, the survey indicates.
Derek Williamson, head of business marketing at T-Mobile, said that communications plans are similar to other company costs and "should be reviewed on a regular basis".
"However, as with many decisions relating to technology, it can seem a daunting process and is often delayed or even ignored despite the impact it can have on a business' bottom line," he added.
In December 2006, T-Mobile formed a partnership with IT distributor Northamber in order to extend its reach further into the SME market.
