Social networking sites such as YouTube and MySpace could allow small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to market themselves to a wider audience, an expert suggests.
According to the director of MarketingSmallBusiness.co.uk, Evan Mangan, such sites could be useful for SMEs who develop a film brochure as a marketing technique, reports bCentral.
Such brochures can enhance their overall media attractiveness through the use of quotations, captions or music.
"Movie brochures are ideal for small business owners who cannot afford to spend £10,000 on a traditional video about their product or service," said Mr Mangan.
"Although their budgets will eliminate TV and other advertising media as marketing possibilities, there are a host of other affordable marketing campaigns smaller companies can employ," he added.
MarketingSmallBusiness.co.uk offers a number of services for small businesses, including campaign planning and increasing customer retention.
