New plans to help vulnerable employees have been announced by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Delivered through a consultation paper, Success at Work, the DTI aims to improve the knowledge of vulnerable workers' rights as employees of agencies.
The new measures have also been designed to reduce the problem of rogue companies.
"Agency workers are . likely to be the largest single group to benefit from our planned increase in statutory entitlement to paid annual leave," said Jim Fitzpatrick, minister for employment relations.
"We have also announced the creation of two vulnerable workers pilot projects in London and Birmingham to help vulnerable workers secure their rights and improve their skills as well as helping employers comply with the law," he added.
The measures outlined by the DTI include informing migrant workers of their rights and informing them of potential bad practice they may face before arriving in the UK.
Agency workers will also be given the right to withdraw from services provided by the agency, such as transport or accommodation, without suffering any repercussions as a result.
In addition to business and trade, the DTI is also responsible for science, energy and employees, among other challenges.
