The Forum of Private Business (FPB) has introduced a new service which will manage payroll duties for smaller companies.
Launched by the organisation in conjunction with Nationwide Payroll, the FPB Payroll Service coordinates payment runs for small to medium-sized businesses and also manages issues such as taxation and national insurance.
In addition to these duties, the FPB pointed out that members can also opt in to a voluntary holiday service which tracks the accrual of staff leave and arranges payments to cover authorised absences.
"The service is simple to use, no knowledge of payroll is needed and it saves time and money," commented Brian Kendal, managing director of Nationwide Payroll.
He added that the service is open to all members of the FPB and is customised to suit the specific needs and requirements of smaller private firms.
The FPB stated that service users will also be able to gain free information and advice regarding wages issues, including sick pay as well as maternity and paternity entitlements.
Based in Kettering, Nationwide Payroll manages outsourcing payments contracts for businesses including hotels, care homes and nurseries.
