44% of graduates rate training and development their top priority according to an online survey by Ernst & Young.
It is uncertain as to whether these results reflect the importance of training to graduates, or whether their responses come as a reaction to employers complaining that many graduates need extra training before they are fit for the workplace.
"Despite the many concerns students have when thinking about their future employer, it is still critically important for many of them that their new job offers them opportunities to learn, and to develop their own careers," stated Stephen Isherwood, Head of graduate recruitment at Ernst & Young.
Only 18% of respondents stated that wages and benefits were their primary concern. |
