Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using Windows Vista could be set to receive greater security protection, it has been revealed.
The news comes as Grisoft's AVG UK and Ireland releases Security 7.5 software designed to help both businesses and home users guard themselves from viruses, hack, spam and other threats.
Global security strategist for Grisoft, Larry Bridwell, told bCentral: "Our developers had been working with Microsoft prior to the Vista launch to ensure product compatibility throughout the new security infrastructure and to design the best user experience possible."
The software is set to provide a number of tools allowing SMEs to protect not only their hardware but also the sensitive data which is secured on them.
Earlier this month, a study by Wells Fargo/Gallup revealed that the majority of SMEs believe access to the internet is crucial to their business.
