document successful small business offers tips back

A successful small business is offering some handy hints and tips to new start-ups looking to make it big.

Figures from the Federation of Small Businesses show that there are over half a million people starting up their own business every year in the UK.

Without heeding the advice of those who have been there and done it before them, many of these people could find their businesses fail.

Andrew Field, president and chief executive of PrintingForLess.com, believes the success of his company is down to hard work and dedication, as well as the right staff and good customer service.

He says small business owners should take plenty of time over the hiring of new employees in order to make sure they are taking on the most suitable candidates.

Once they have their staff in place they need to treat them with respect and provide the right opportunities for them to thrive in their job.

In terms of technology, SMEs need to make sure they invest in the right products, while establishing a solid brand identity and setting out clear company values is another important factor.

The most important thing for small businesses to do however, says Mr Field, is to listen to their customers and make sure they provide excellent service.
