What makes your business different?
We offer a highly personalised approach across all our coaching platforms. Our coaching model enables us to progress quickly and demonstrably. In fact – we only charge you if you’re happy with the outcome.
What inspired you to start this business?
Having spent many years coaching sales teams and being coached myself, I recognised two things. 1 – the importance of high quality coaching and how it impacts on performance, and 2 – the lack of truly high quality coaches able to really connect with their clients and quickly and efficiently identify the key performance issues and make a difference to performance.
How are you funding your business?
I’m working and currently running totallycoached on a part time basis. This also enables me to keep my prices low.
Where do you see your business in 3 years?
I love my day job and love coaching so it’s a tough call! Right now I’m enjoying doing both and allowing totallycoached to grow organically.
What characteristics do you have that will help you make your business a success?
I am very tenacious and not afraid to work all day and all night! Most importantly though, I absolutely love what I do. If I’m running a sales coaching workshop or producing a CV I love to get totally involved. Passion and a real desire to make a difference are what make the difference! I’m also pretty good at relating to people so I am able to adapt each service offering accordingly to ensure the very best outcome for each client.
What are you most keen to learn that will help you grow your business?
To ensure I stay up to date with current thinking around sales coaching and training. I have completed a lot of qualifications and courses to ensure I stay ahead of the game.
Are there any brands, companies or personalities that you most admire or aspire to?
I love innovation and creativity. There are so many companies that claim to be forward thinking and dynamic but when you work with them you realise that it’s nothing more than a load of words. I admire any organisation that lives and breathes their philosophies and ideals on a daily basis. You can feel the difference when you work with this type of organisation.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing your company?
There are a lot of average business coaches out there and it’s a very busy market place, so leveraging the totallycoached principles in a way that attracts new customers and allows a prospective new client to see how we are different is the biggest challenge.
Is being a business owner how you expected it to be, or have you had any surprises along the way?
I can honestly say it’s everything I thought it would be – no surprises yet!
What is your main goal for your company?
To deliver real value to my clients and be recognised as a leader for what we do.
Do you have any advice for people thinking of starting their own business?
Research your market sector and be clear what you want to achieve. Ensure you get in to something that you get excited about. It’s very hard to make money in anything if you’re not passionate about it! Work hard and don’t give up.
