Especially the common mistake of pretending to be something you are not. You should always be you, avoid the nauseating business speak (blue sky, thinking outside of the box, mutually beneficial relationship, stupid abbreviated words that no one understands that make you look clever, are all things that make me cringe) Mistakes I have made are: Being unrealistic about how much I can achieve in a given time. Being too defensive instead of asking why someone is criticizing me or my idea. Not being specific enough or making too many assumptions when communicating my ideas or thoughts. Totally agree! Especially the common mistake of pretending to be something you are not.
