New business start-ups based in the Vale of Glamorgan can apply for 50% of costs to a maximum of £1,000.
This includes the purchase of plant and machinery, improvement of premises or the cost of new premises and marketing costs. The grant can also help with the cost of the first year’s rent and/or rates. More Info: Vale of Glamorgan County Council

£10,000 for businesses with up to 50 employees, situated in the Vale of Glamorgan. Retail, professional and local services are not eligible for assistance
The Vale of Glamorgan Loan Fund is available for start up businesses and the development of existing local businesses, which will provide job creation/safeguarding as a direct result of the loan.
Loans are normally charged at bank base rate and may include working capital. Loans will normally be offered at a maximum of 50% relevant expenditure depending on the number of jobs created or safeguarded. Applicants will be required to demonstrate funding from other sources such as commercial funds, or from within the business.
Business in Focus, the local Enterprise Agency, manages the Loan Fund on behalf of the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
