Buildings are for People grants are available to small businesses in the Kirklees area. The grant provides up to 50% of the costs of work to a building or facility that improves access for people who may have difficulty using it, such as older people and disabled people. You must obtain planning, building control or any other necessary approval before work starts.
Improvement work that has already been done cannot receive a grant. Grants will be paid once the work has been completed and approved by the Access Grants Panel. Applications are considered every month.

environmental enhancement - Contribution towards improving the land surrounding of spaces between buildings. Schemes designed to enhance the setting of buildings and remove eyesores will be targeted.
