Companies in the automotive industry operating in the West Midlands can get up to £30,000 in support funding. The Tool Kit provides a flexible range of support, with the common aim of helping companies to achieve world class manufacturing standards, quality, cost and delivery measures, along with growth, innovation, creativity, differentiation and diversification. Two grant funding packages available:
capital grants
Automotive suppliers can access Capital Grants towards the cost of equipment in pursuit of innovation. For example machinery that makes the company more efficient, design software to aid with modernisation or even the addition of new technology. Funding up to 20% of the total cost is available (up to a maximum level of £20,000), and can frequently be used in conjunction with a Business Development Grant.
business development grants
These
provide funding towards the cost of a company undertaking a business development project. This is closely focused on manufacturing process improvement and/or the introduction of new products. Up to £30,000.

Advantage West Midlands offers financial support to projects that will deliver at least one of the following results:
• New Jobs created or Jobs safeguarded;
• Businesses created or attracted to the region;
• Brownfield land reclaimed;
• Learning opportunities created;
• Investment in deprived areas;
• Businesses assisted;
• Community enterprise initiatives.
